Ruslan Geremeyev, the alleged organizer of Boris Nemtsov's murder, was wounded in Mariupol

Former deputy commander of the Sever battalion Ruslan Geremeyev was wounded during a battle in Mariupol, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov reported on his Telegram channel.

“Unfortunately, during further fighting for the city, Ruslan Geremeyev was wounded and ended up in hospital,” Kadyrov said.

On the afternoon of March 29, a video appeared online of Kadyrov visiting Geremeyev in the hospital, but the information about the Chechen security officer's injury was not officially confirmed. Now Kadyrov has published a recording filmed in the same hospital.

"On the way to Mariupol, I visited my dear BROTHER and personally saw that his life is not in danger. He is successfully recovering and is ready to return to duty in the near future," the head of Chechnya wrote in a telegram (original spelling preserved).

Ruslan Geremeyev, as Kadyrov said earlier, leads the Chechen unit that is participating in the siege of Mariupol.
