Izvestia correspondent wounded near Mariupol

Izvestia TV channel military correspondent Rodion Severyanov was wounded near Mariupol in Ukraine on March 29. The publication's website reported that "a sniper bullet hit him in the leg."

The circumstances of the incident are unknown. The victim is in stable condition, RIA Novosti reports , citing the Izvestia press service.

• On March 13, the first death of a journalist in the war in Ukraine was reported : American documentary filmmaker Brent Reno was killed in Irpen near Kiev. That day, the Justice for Journalists Foundation (JFJ) told Radio Liberty that at least 35 attacks on journalists had been documented since the war in Ukraine began.
