Clients of one of the largest delivery services of finished food - Yandex.Deas filed a collective lawsuit to the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow. The reason was the leak of personal data of users, the Vedomosti reported .
Now 33 customers of the service are participating in the lawsuit, about 300 more applications for joining the lawsuit through the website of the legal service Destra Legal, which represents the interests of the applicants.
Clients accuse Yandex.aded of violating the Law on Personal Data, they require moral compensation for 100 thousand rubles per each. The plaintiffs note that after a leakage of personal data on the Internet, calls from unknown with advertising offers began to come to customers.
“Including applicants are afraid for their safety. After all, not only their phone numbers and mail became known, but also the actual addresses, codes from intercoms and so on,” said Destra Legal representative Boris Feldman.
On March 1, the service itself announced the leak of several million data on March 1. The cause of the leak was named the unscrupulous actions of one of the employees. It was noted that banking, payment and registration data of users were not compromised.
Later, a site appeared on the Internet with the database of Yandex.Dera clients, on which you could find a surname, name, patronymic, address, phone number and e -mail, as well as the total amount of orders. The site was blocked, and in relation to the service on March 23, Roskomnadzor drew up an administrative protocol for violation of Russian legislation, according to which the company faces a fine of up to 100 thousand rubles.
