Blagoveshchensk: the teacher was fined for the "discredit" of the army

The Blagoveshchensk City Court fined 30 thousand rubles a teacher of a local university under an article on the "discredit" of the Russian Army, the Amur News Service reports .

She was found guilty due to a lecture on March 10 at the faculty of secondary vocational education. In the presence of students "inaccurate information was widespread," the case file said.

The teacher did not plead guilty.

• The administrative article about "fakes" about the Russian army entered into force on March 4. It provides for a fine of 30 to 50 thousand rubles. For calls for rallies, a fine of 50 to 100 thousand rubles faces. For officials and legal organizations, fines are several times higher. According to "network freedoms", more than 220 administrative cases of "fakes" have been instituted in Russia.
