Ministry of Defense of Ukraine: there are no more Russian troops in the Kyiv region

There are no more Russian troops in the Kyiv region. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar.

Among the settlements that are now controlled by the Ukrainian military, Malyar noted Irpen, Bucha and Gostomel.

The official called on local residents to temporarily refrain from returning to these settlements until the demining process is completed.

• Following talks in Istanbul on March 29, Russia announced a "dramatic reduction" in military activity in the Kiev and Chernigov directions. Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin said that such a decision was made "in order to increase mutual trust and create the necessary conditions for further negotiations."
• On March 30, the Russian Defense Ministry clarified that this was a “planned regrouping” of Russian troops, explaining it by the fact that “all the main tasks of the Russian forces in the Kiev and Chernigov directions have been completed.” The purpose of the regrouping in the department was called "the completion of the operation for the complete liberation of Donbass."
