Kadyrov announced the beginning of the assault on the plant in Mariupol. It was called the “main center of resistance” of Ukrainian forces in the city

Chechen military personnel began storming a plant in Mariupol, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said on his telegram channel.

According to Kadyrov, "the Nazis, Bandera and other rabble have no chance of salvation."

Kadyrov did not specify which plant he was talking about, but apparently he meant Azovstal. The day before, he stated that this enterprise was "the last place where the bandits take refuge."

Representatives of the self-proclaimed DPR on April 1 claimed that there were three "centers of resistance" of the Ukrainian military left in the city, the main one being at Azovstal.

• Mariupol has been surrounded by Russian troops for more than a month and is constantly under fire. According to the authorities of Mariupol, more than 90% of the buildings in the city have been destroyed to one degree or another.
