Ex-volunteer of Navalny's headquarters was released on his own recognizance in the case of rehabilitation of Nazism

On April 2, the Krasnogvardeisky District Court of St. Petersburg did not take into custody Nermina Yusufovich, a former volunteer of Navalny’s headquarters. He was released on his own recognizance. The lawyer of the accused, Sultan Ishmuratov, reported this to OVD-Info.

The court considered the investigator's request to take the suspect in the rehabilitation of Nazism (Part 3 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code) into custody, but the prosecutor did not support this request. As a result, the judge released Yusufovich on his own recognizance and banned him from using the telephone and computer during the investigation.

The Investigative Committee of St. Petersburg, together with FSB operatives, detained Yusufovich on March 31 after in Moscow. They took him by train to St. Petersburg, where the accused's parents live. The former volunteer was charged under the article on the rehabilitation of Nazism and taken into custody in a temporary detention center in the Krasnogvardeisky district.

During the search , Yusufovich is suspected of having posted an image of Reichsmarshal of Nazi Germany Hermann Goering on the Immortal Regiment website. The investigation and the court did not show him and his lawyer a screenshot of the photo. Ishmuratov’s lawyer told OVD-Info that, most likely, it was not Yusufovich who posted the photo.
