Rosfinmonitoring introduced Columbine* to the list of terrorists and extremists

Rosfinmonitoring added the Columbine movement prohibited in Russia (recognized as a terrorist Supreme Court of the Russian Federation) to the register of terrorist and extremist organizations. This is stated on the website of the department.

The Rosfinmonitoring website says that the "International Youth Movement" Columbine "is included in the national part of the list of terrorist and extremist organizations."

“Columbine” is a school in the USA, where two students in 1999 shot other schoolchildren and teachers, and then committed suicide. Then 13 people were killed, and 23 were injured. Subsequently, the term “Columbine” began to call murders in schools not only in the USA, but throughout the world.

In September 2021, the daughter of Senator Mizulina, Ekaterina Mizulina, also offered the so -called Columbine movement by terrorist. In her opinion, this would give the law enforcement system of the Russian Federation "additional opportunities to combat such communities and their creators."

The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation recognized the movement of Columbine as terrorist and banned it on February 2, 2022. The trial of the Prosecutor General’s Office asked for a ban . The department reported that Columbine has a widely developed structure, coordinated through the Internet, and its ideology is based on violence and pursues the goals of mass deaths and destabilizing the situation in the country. Who its participants and leaders did not specify the Prosecutor General.
