Fontanka: on the shore of Lake Ladoga in Sortaval, a river station and LCD will be built

Fontanka became aware of plans to build a half -abandoned territory along the coast of Lake Ladoga in the Karelian Sortaval. According to the publication, the President of the Adamant holding Igor Leitis is behind the project for the construction of the river station and the residential complex.

The territory in question was previously occupied by the furniture factory "Rant". The latter was opened in 1995, and was liquidated in 2017. After that, the land plot and the dilapidated buildings were sold - this happened in 2019–2020, they told the publication in the Karelian minimum permissions.

Now the buildings of the former enterprise are demolished, and in their place, as the Fontanka found out from the local authorities, four residential buildings for about 100 apartments, as well as a helicopter site and a multifunctional center with a gym.

Nearby will be placed by a river station with a waiting room, a store, a cafe, a panoramic restaurant and parking in the berth, as well as the embankment with places for walking. In addition, they plan to divide the marina into zones: separately for walking boats and ships on submarine wings that take tourists to the island of Valaam. There will also be a training site of the rowing sortavali school.

The entire project, according to the publication, is in agreement, but about the timing of the start and completion of construction, as well as about the volume of investments, nothing is known yet. At the same time, the river station can be opened already for navigation - approximately on May 10, 2022.

Fontanka also writes that, according to SPARK, VALAAM Pier LLC was registered on January 26, 2022 and has a capital of 10 thousand rubles. Its only founder is Igor Leitis, president of the adamant holding. This information was confirmed by the press service of the head of the Republic of Karelia.
