At six in the evening after the war. What will the Russian economy come out of the Putin's “special operation”?

When, after terrifying personnel from Buchi, the United States and the EU discuss new sanctions against Russia, it seems strange to talk about what will happen to the Russian economy after the war, which is ordered to be called “special operation”. However, the world in one form or another always comes - even the centenary war has once ended. So the President of Ukraine says that peace negotiations must be continued. So it is worth thinking about the fact that we lost forever, and that, perhaps, he will return.

US President Joe Biden says the Russian economy has been destroyed. In stores they buy sugar or female gaskets. However, most Russian citizens, judging by the FOM survey , are full of optimism: 33% of respondents believe that in six months or a year life in the country will improve, and in the future for three to five years, 49% are already hoping for improvement.

These survey are confirmed by conversations with acquaintances remaining in Russia: of course, they are worried, but their daily life has not yet changed too much. “Soon everything will work out,” refrain sounds in many conversations. Someone hopes that military operations will end, after which both the sanctions will be removed and Western companies will return. Someone-that Russia itself will be able to produce everything or China will help.

According to Natalia Zubarevich, a specialist in the socio-economic development of Russian regions, most of the townsfolk simply have not yet felt the effect of sanctions: planes and trains have not yet required repairs, there are goods in warehouses, western companies still pay people salaries. And even more so, few people imagine the complexity of modern logistics chains, where the inclusion of countries, including Russia, in the global division of labor and production has led to the fact that there is practically not a single technically complex product in which there would be at least one imported detail.
