MAXAR's reputation, by the way, is impeccable. Errors are excluded, as well as fraud. The publisher is the NEW YORK TIMES, which confirms the weight of satellite photographs. The images show the streets of Bucha during the occupation of the town by Putin's troops, i.e. in March 2022. In particular, there are corpses on Yablonskaya Street in the same order, in the same poses and positions that are recorded in the video footage taken after the flight of Putin’s troops. It is impossible to refute this.

I saw a lot of corpses, having gone through seven wars, making crime chronicles for many years. I know a lot of nuances by which “corpse” productions are easily distinguished from real footage. I had the opportunity to make a detailed reconstruction of the war for cinema (“Purgatory”). I know the weak points and signs of such reconstructions. In my personal opinion, the filming is genuine and not fake. The evidence provided by MAXAR supports my opinion.
I understand the feelings of Russians who vehemently claim that the footage from Bucha is a lie, fake and staged. They are in great pain. This hellish pain controls all their emotions.
These images upset their world, their faith in their homeland and army, in Putin and the “rightness” of his war. Their rabies is understandable and inevitable. They can only protect themselves from what destroys their entire value system by blind and fanatical denial of facts, aggressive rhetoric and parroting television remarks. They are left with no choice. They will do everything not to find out the truth about Butch and not to let it reach them,” wrote Alexander Nevzorov.
