March 23 - 24, 2022 in St. Petersburg, the Russian Armrestling Championship was held, in which two athletes representing the Altai Republic took part. In total, about 500 athletes from 50 regions of the Russian Federation took part in these competitions.
This championship can be called revolutionary, because in many weight categories the strongest athletes could not break into the Russian national team.
I will give a few examples: in the weight category up to 70 kg, the repeated champion and medalist of world and European championships, who confidently smashed the world Gracas Gracas, Oleg, in the fight on his left hand, took third place (only athletes took 1 to 2 places in the national team);

In the weight category of up to 75 kg, the repeated champion of Europe and the world Makarov Arthur lost his place in the Russian national team last year's junior, who created a world sensation last year (having won in the struggle on both hands among juniors, and a few days later among adult athletes of the championship and the World Cup) Alan Zhevueva.
Makarov Arthur in the struggle on his left hand flew up as much as 11th place, and on the right took the honorable third place, not having fallen before getting into the Russian national team. Last year, the youngest of the Brothers of the Zapoloevs, Alan, said about himself. At first he became the champion of Russia among juniors on both hands, and a month later he had already won gold among adults (though there was a controversial moment), defeating Arthur Makarov himself. And after six months, at the World Cup, Alan as a rink passed through all juniors and in the same way as adults, even Makarov, Arthur won no question (although Makarov had not lost anyone for the past few years).
In the weight category up to 110 kg, where our Aliyev Vali fought, there were also no sensations. Kolesnichenko Nikolai, last year's silver medalist of the World Cup on both hands, in the struggle on his left hand took only fourth place, and on the right, losing two contractions, became thirty -second. Aliyev Vali, who first participated in the Russian championship, acted in his strength, taking 27th place in the struggle on his left hand, and on the right 28. Here it must be understood that Vali, who trained only four years, fought against athletes whose training was 10-15, or even 20 years old.
In our sport, the strength of tendons and ligaments is of great importance, and this force cannot be developed quickly, training lasts years, after about 8-10, or even more years (depending on natural giftedness), the athlete goes to a serious level and is ready to fight for high places. Take, for example, the champion of this weight category of Ivan Matyushenko, he became 15 times the champion of Russia, that is, he has been at the top for fifteen years, and no one can move it from there, and to become the Russian champion for the first time, he still trained a certain number of years, so consider it yourself.
Among women in the weight category up to 55 kg, our team was represented by Natalya Kruzmyagina. In the struggle on her left hand, Natalia took ninth place, but in the struggle on her right hand she had every chance to perform much better. Having won the first battle, Natalya went to the master of sports of international class, Halfin Julia from Bashkortostan. In a very stubborn and equal struggle, Natalya tore off the elbow from the armrest and received a foul for this (if you earn two fouls, then you lose a duel).
Having exhibited the second time, Natalya attacked the opponent in the “hook” and began to win, pulling her opponent’s hand, and the opponent’s hand touched the treasured roller, we raised his hands for winning greeting, but the judges saw the foul from Natalia (for the separation of the elbow from the armrest) and gave the victory to her rival. Natalia won the next fight and again went to the master of sports of international class Sports Gimranov Milyauush. Natalya fought on equal terms with Milyausha, but lost again in the fouls, taking eighth place on her right hand, and Milyauusha eventually took second place.
