Vladimir Zhirinovsky died at the 76th year of his life-after a serious long illness, as it was customary to write in such cases in the necrologues of the Soviet era, and now they write the same way; Back in early February, the LDPR leader lay in the Central Design Bureau for treatment with coronavirus, or, more precisely, from bilateral pneumonia that developed on this basis, and when it became known, they said that he hid his illness for two weeks because he did not want to laugh at him-after all, a person vaccinated eight times, but still did not help.
Now, of course, everyone will say that the Patriarch of Russian politics died-and this will not be an exaggeration at all, even rather an underestimation, because Vladimir Zhirinovsky was a co-founder and the first chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party not even to Russia, but by the Soviet Union (LDPSS), in 1989. This was not the first batch that appeared in the USSR -the “Democratic Union” was established a year earlier -but the first officially registered after the CPSU (where they never took Zhirinovsky), that is, Zhirinovsky, in general, not just the Patriarch, but, one might say, one of the parents of this very Russian politics. Gennady Zyuganov, for example, was then only a rather high -ranking, but still not outstanding party functions, and Vladimir Putin has not yet returned from the GDR.
Zhirinovsky took part in the Constituent Congress of the “Democratic Union”, and even claimed to be chairmanship, which did not prevent him from speaking at the rallies of the Memory Society - that was such a person and such a violent era. What, what, but he knew how to match the era immediately: in 1991 he supported the State Emergency Committee, in 1993-Boris Yeltsin.
Almost immediately after the creation of the LDPSS, by the way, Zhirinovsky was excluded from it, suspecting in relations with the KGB, but he instantly held an alternative congress and repelled the party in which after that he reigned undividedly-his opponent, the desperator Vladimir Bogachev, quickly sunk into political summer.
Suspicions of cooperation with the bodies will pursue Zhirinovsky all his life.
