The Russian Ministry of Justice closed the representative offices of Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the Carnegie Endowment and twelve other foreign and international organizations in Russia. About this on the department's website.
The list includes Russian branches of German foundations (Heinrich Böll Foundation, Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Hanns Seidel Foundation, Rosa Luxemburg Foundation and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung e.F. association). Together with them, the Ministry of Justice closed the representative offices of the German Research Society, the Swiss Aga Khan Foundation, the Wspulnota Polska association and the Institute of International Education corporation.
The agency excluded them from the register of branches and representative offices of international organizations and foreign non-profit non-governmental organizations due to “violation of the law.”
