According to Kholod editor-in-chief Taisiya Bekbulatova , on April 9, Roskomnadzor sent the publication its third warning in recent weeks demanding that it remove materials about the war in Ukraine. After that, access to the site was restricted.

The cultural and scientific publication Diskurs also reported on the blocking on April 9. According to the editors, Roskomnadzor did not send any warnings.
