Petersburg: The court recognized Putin's quote on the poster with the discrediting of the army

A resident of St. Petersburg Arthur Dmitriev was fined 30 thousand rubles for stood with a poster on which there was a quote from President Vladimir Putin. The court recognized this quote to discrediting the Armed Forces of Russia. Dmitriev published a court decision on his Facebook page.

The court ruling says that on April 7, Dmitriev stood in the lobby of the Parnassus metro station with a poster on which it was written: "The war brought so many unbearable trials, grief and tears that this is impossible to forget. And there is no forgiveness and excuses for those who again think of aggressive plans."

He was detained. The court considered that Dmitriev "formed an opinion not about the participation of the Russian armed forces not in a special military operation, but in the war, which distorted and discredited the tasks of using the Armed Forces outside the Russian Federation." He was fined 30 thousand rubles for this. The decision was made by Judge Y. Mamina.

At the same time, as Dmitriev wrote, a quote from President Vladimir Putin was used on the poster, which he uttered at the Victory Parade on May 9, 2021. On the president’s website there is a decoding of Putin’s speech at the ceremony, it literally coincides with the inscription on the poster.

“The prank was a success,” Dmitriev commented on the situation.
