Two young children drowned in Tuva

Two children failed in Tuva under the ice: a five-year-old boy drowned in the Toyora-Hem River, and a six-year-old girl in the Maly Yenisei. The first child was found for the dead. The Investigative Committee began checking. The search for the second child continues.

The body of a five-year-old boy from the village of Adyr-Kuzhig was discovered in the Toora Hem River, the press service of the Office of the IC in the Republic of Tuva said.

According to the investigation, on April 9, the child was near the river without adults. During the game, he went to the wormwood on the ice, in the center of the reservoir, bent down to drink water, and fell into the water. The boy was searched for by local residents and rescuers of the Ministry of Emergencies. He was found dead in 200 meters along the river from the alleged place of loss.

The department began checking.

The Ministry of Emergencies in the region also said that on April 7, a six-year-old girl fell under the ice in the Kaa-Kham district under the ice. Her searches are still ongoing.
