Together with the regional, his business partner Nikolai Vadov was detained. He was a co-owner of the bankrupt LLC Leader-NSK, which for some time belonged to the regional. Widowing was a partner of the developer for other projects.

Back in 2018, Taiga.info wrote that law enforcement agencies conducted searches in the family of the Region. After them, his second cousin died. Then the investigative actions were associated with the criminal case of the head of the Office of Land Resources of the Novosibirsk City Hall Yuri Kuznetsov. Hewas accused of selling the site on Tukhachevsky Street, 21 in Pervomaisky district at a low price - the production facilities of the enterprise are located on the territory, one of the investors of which was regions.

Mikhail Regions is a famous Novosibirsk developer. He headed the commission on sustainable development of the region and issues of the investment climate of the Public Chamber of the Novosibirsk Region and led the regional branch of the Russian Military Historical Society. He was also an adviser to ex-governor Vladimir Gorodetsky, who is now sitting in the Council of Council.
