In the care of patients suffering from chronic inflammatory rheumatic diseases (for example, rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis), not only drugs, but also diets are important. Increased interest in diets is characteristic of many, including people with these diseases. French scientists note that recently “exclusive” (“inclusive” antonym) diets have been widely used, adherents of which exclude certain foods from their diet - meat, milk, products with gluten (in the absence of celiac disease ), etc., despite the small knowledge of such nutrition modes.
Patients with rheumatic diseases can perceive such diets as a “natural” way to improve their well -being and even notice that certain products improve or worsen the symptoms of the disease, which can also affect their food strategies. Therefore, the French French Society for Rheumatology in March introduced the world's first dietary guide for people with these diseases, developed by professionals for professionals.
Among the authors are 12 experts in rheumatology, three specialists in nutrition with medical background, nutritionist, specialist in internal diseases and three representatives of patient associations from all over the country. When compiling the leadership, the group focused on existing randomized controlled tests (as of June 2020) and expert opinions, and also took into account the combined effect of a diet for patients with rheumatic diseases.
Thus, the authors have developed eight main principles and nine nutrition recommendations .
