A Tyumen resident was arrested for two weeks for shouting “Right Sector” greetings in a cafe

Daniil B., a resident of Tyumen, was arrested for 14 days for shouting slogans of Ukrainian nationalist organizations in a cafe. This was reported by the press service of the courts of the city.

According to the case file, on the night of April 9, in a fast food cafe, a Tyumen resident shouted out greetings from the UNA-UNSO and Right Sector organizations. The press service did not specify the content of the greetings.

According to the local publication Vsluh.ru, the described events took place at MacDonalds, and the man shouted out the greeting “Glory to Ukraine.” After that, a mass brawl began in the cafe, which was stopped only along with the police, the newspaper writes.

The man was found guilty of public actions aimed at propaganda of nationalist organizations (part 1 of article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), the report says. It should be clarified that, according to the wording of the article, it punishes “propaganda or public demonstration of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols, or paraphernalia or symbols confusingly similar to Nazi paraphernalia or symbols, or paraphernalia or symbols of extremist organizations, or other paraphernalia or symbols, propaganda or public demonstration of which is prohibited by federal laws.
