Supporters of the Bashkir opposition leader Airat Dilmukhametov, who is serving a sentence in IK-5 in Chita, complained about the conditions of his detention. About this writes the publication "Idel.Realii".
According to activists, since the beginning of the war on the territory of Ukraine, Dilmukhametov has been constantly transferred to a punishment cell (SHIZO) and to a cell-type room (PKT).
“Ayrat Dilmukhametov is the ‘Bashkir Navalny’ or ‘Bashkir Nelson Mandela’, whose fate will be the focus of attention not only of the entire Bashkir national movement, but also of the Russian civil and international community with which it interacts. In this regard, we declare that in the event of damage to the health or, God forbid, the life of Airat Dilmukhametov, all those responsible for this will be identified and will be held accountable without a statute of limitations. Using the examples of the investigations into the poisoning of Navalny, we remind the employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service that today international research organizations have all the means to identify those responsible for such unlawful massacres, who will then be forced to hide for the rest of their lives until they are found,” the activists said.
The Memorial Human Rights Center considers Airat Dilmukhametov a political prisoner.
- On August 24, 2020, the Central District Court in Samara found Dilmukhametov guilty under articles on financing extremist activities (part 1 of article 282.3 of the Criminal Code), calls for it (part 1 of article 280 of the Criminal Code), on justifying terrorism (part 2 of art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code), as well as on two episodes under the article on calls for separatism (part 2 of article 280.1 of the Criminal Code). On December 4, Dilmukhametov tried to appeal the decision, but the Military Court of Appeal upheld the verdict. Dilmukhametov's lawyer, in a conversation with Ural.MBKh Media, added that a complaint was being prepared to the ECHR.

- In 2015, Dilmukhametov was sentenced to three years in a strict regime colony on charges of “publicly justifying terrorism” (part 1 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) for a religious and political treatise using verses from the Koran. He was released in 2017.
- In 2011, in connection with publications from 2008, Dilmukhametov was convicted on charges of public calls for extremist (Article 280 of the Criminal Code) and terrorist activities (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code), as well as inciting ethnic hatred (Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code) .
