The Zelenogradsky District Court of Moscow dismissed the case against Vladimir Russkov due to an action in defense of the Trinity Forest. His interests in court were represented by defender Timofey Vaskin, who cooperates with OVD-Info.

On February 12, near the house where Russkov lives, a meeting was held between the residents of Troitsk and a deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation - the audience discussed the cutting down of the local forest. at the subsequent action Then, more than 10 people were detained . On that day, Russkov and his wife went out to a grocery store nearby. They did not participate in the meeting or in the action. A few days later, the man was summoned to draw up a protocol under the article on violation of the rules for holding a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) - allegedly on the basis of video recordings and photographs from the action.

During the court session, Timofey Vaskin proved that the photographs presented by the police showed not his client, but other people. The court ruled that the materials of the administrative case do not contain evidence of guilt, also taking into account that Russkov is a pensioner and a veteran of military service.
