Activists protesting against the demolition of a historical building were detained in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, the police detained Yulia Pidoprigora and Pavel Shepetkov, who opposed the demolition of the historic building. They themselves told OVD-Info about this.

Pidoprigora was taken to police station No. 18, she is charged with an article on petty hooliganism (part 1 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), allegedly because she used foul language. Shepetkov was taken to the hospital, what happened to him is still unknown. The detainees are assisted by lawyer Svetlana Veselkova, cooperating with OVD-Info.

According to SOTA, today residents of St. Petersburg went on duty against the demolition of the Ekimova shopping baths building on Maly Prospekt of the Petrograd side.

23:00 Pidoprigora was released from the police department, having drawn up a report on petty hooliganism (part 1 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) against her and imposing a fine of 500 rubles after drawing up.

Leaving Pidoprigor’s department, together with lawyer Svetlana Veselkova, they met Shepetkov, who said that nothing was explained to him during the arrest. The department drew up a report, which, among other things, stated that he allegedly "jumped on the car." He was unable to obtain a copy of the protocol.
