Irkutsk: The ex-head of the regional headquarters of Navalny was arrested

The court arrested for two months the former coordinator of the headquarters of Navalny in Irkutsk Anton Zhukovts in the case of sexual intercourse with a minor who has not reached sixteen, reports the Telegram channel "Irkutsk insider".

The ex-head of the department is also accused under the article on the use of a minor to create pornographic materials. “Whether Anton pleads or denies is unknown,” the channel notes.

According to the Irkutkoy Insider, Zhukovtsy was detained while trying to leave Russia, and three hours after the detention, a criminal case was opened on him.

The ex-coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters appears as a witness in the case of another former head of the headquarters Zakhar Sarapulov, who is accused of participating in the extremist community.

The Investigative Department of the Irkutsk Region did not officially report the investigation of the case against Anton Zhukovts.

• The headquarters of Navalny in Irkutsk was created in early 2017. He was headed by the Irkutsk politician Sergey Bespalov. He left his post on September 1, 2018 for family reasons. His place was taken by Anton Zhukovets, who worked until March 2020, having quit by agreement of the parties.
