The FSB asked to increase government departments for the funeral of the Russian military

The FSB asked the government to increase the costs of burial and tombstones for the military 17%. According to the Russian BBC Service, expenses are proposed to increase from 7.8 to 11 thousand rubles in the amount of 7.8 to 11 thousand rubles. Compensation for some funeral will reach 56.4 - 74.2 thousand rubles, depending on the status and place of burial of a military man.

The department explained the request by the fact that these costs for burial did not fall into the list of annually indexed social payments. With the outbreak of war in Russia, there is a sharp increase in prices, in March inflation reached almost 17% (at 8.4% in 2021).

Russian legislation provides for payment from the state budget of the funeral of those who died from wound, injury, contusion or disease when military service is held. This also applies to employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Guard - they must be buried at the expense of the federal body in which they served at the time of death.

The authorities must pay for the families of the dead all ritual services. Now this is allocated to 20.3 thousand rubles in the regions, and in Moscow and St. Petersburg - up to 28.2 thousand rubles. At the same time, on average, the funeral in Moscow in November last year cost 135 thousand rubles. The average check for the funeral in the regions reached 30 thousand rubles.

The authorities allocate up to 35 171 rubles for a monument to a contract for a contract, after indexation, this amount can grow to 41 196 rubles.
Monuments to the dead soldiers -rings, cadets and reservists, called up for military training, are allocated to 28 178 rubles (after indexation - 33 005 rubles).

Until April 20, the FSB project must undergo an independent anti -corruption examination. After that, the government will have to approve it.

The exact number of those who died among the Russian military is unknown - the authorities reported this only twice from the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. According to March 25, 1351 soldiers died in the war. The Armed Forces of Ukraine declare almost 20 thousand dead Russians.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky invited the Russian authorities to take the bodies of the dead, but Russia, according to him, first refused, and then suggested "put the bodies in some bags."

The head of the Nikolaev regional administration, Vitaly Kim, asked residents of the city to collect the bodies of the Russian military in the territories liberated by Ukraine to send them first to refrigerators to slow down, and then to Russia, "because these military also have mothers."
