President Vladimir Putin has given an honorary name to a motorized rifle brigade that has been linked to massacres near Kiev. The document was published on the official legal information portal.

As stated in the decree, Putin “for the massive heroism and courage, perseverance and courage shown by the brigade’s personnel in combat operations to defend the fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts” awarded the 64th Motorized Rifle Brigade the honorary name “Guards”.
