In Moscow, a case was opened due to circumcision at home, after which the baby fell into a coma

A criminal case was opened in Moscow over the circumcision of an infant. This was reported by the department of the Investigative Committee for the region.

As stated in the release, a 30-year-old man is suspected of providing services that do not meet safety requirements (Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code).

According to investigators, on April 17, in an apartment in the Timiryazevsky district of Moscow, he circumcised a boy born this year. The child’s health “sharply deteriorated” and he fell into a coma. Investigators are questioning the man who performed the operation. No other details are provided.
