“Medusa”: 37 sailors were killed on the cruiser “Moscow”, about 100 were injured

37 people out of about 500 crew members of the cruiser "Moscow" were killed, and about 100 more were injured. This was reported by Meduza with reference to a source close to the command of the Black Sea Fleet.

According to the interlocutor, there are also missing people among the crew, their number is unknown.

The missile cruiser "Moskva", the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, sank on the evening of April 13. The Ukrainian side immediately claimed that it was a strike from two Neptune anti-ship missiles. The Russian Ministry of Defense first claimed that the Moskva suffered damage due to the storm, and then admitted a fire on the cruiser, without naming its cause.

The Russian military has not yet commented on reports of the death of sailors from the crew of the cruiser Moskva; the defense department previously reported that the crew was “completely evacuated.” At the same time, relatives of several sailors, including conscript sailors, confirmed to journalists that they died in the explosion of the cruiser.
