In Belarus , 35 traumatologists have recently been detained in Belarus, the head of the republic, Alexander Lukashenko, said at a meeting with the participation of the Minister of Health, the Prosecutor General and the head of the KGB of Belarus.

According to Lukashenko, doctors allegedly received bribes from foreign companies for use when prosthetics of certain imported products. “Some have 300 thousand, 650 thousand euros in searches found only at home - they kept on pocket expenses. Thirty -five people,” said Lukashenko. He urged subordinates to decide “what we will do with these people,” mentioning that they are in jail now. According to the head of the Ministry of Health, he is ready to take doctors on bail after they "compensate for the huge damage to the state."

The detention of doctors became known at the end of March, then the numbers from 25 to 50 detainees were called. Officially, messages were confirmed only today.

The coordinator of the Belarusian Medical Solidarity Fund Rustam Aizatulin, in an interview with the Belarusian service, Radio Freedom doubted the guilt of the doctors, saying that employees of the law enforcement agencies arrange a "window dressing".
