Every time I am surprised when I still manage to find unknown negatives of the Second World War after almost 80 years that have passed since that time. And today's situation in the world emphasizes the need for a more in -depth, meaningful and comprehensive study of this period of history. Pictures of Victor Temin are especially valuable material in the history of the Great Patriotic War. Of course, mentioning the name of this photographer, everyone will recall his well -known photo “Banner of Victory over the Reichstag” , shot on May 1, 1945 (according to one version, the photo is a photomonta - a retoucher in the editorial office simply drawn this banner, repeatedly increasing its size). That is why the original, not edited and recently found unknown negatives of this photographer is a real treasure. In this material, we will show the original pictures that Victor Temin took in 1942–43 on the North Caucasus Front.
