The court extended the arrest of an activist who was driving a car with an anti-war flag

The Presnensky District Court of Moscow extended the arrest of Daniil Tikhomirov until August 6th. The activist is in pre-trial detention center No. 1 (“Matrosskaya Tishina”). This was reported by lawyer Mikhail Biryukov, who is defending Tikhomirov with the support of OVD-Info.

The activist is accused of using violence not dangerous to life or health against a government official (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). Previously, the Moscow City Court arrested Tikhomirov for 1 month and 29 days.

According to investigators, the activist bruised the chest of a policeman who was chasing his girlfriend; police officers claim that she tried to escape.
