
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that as a result of a fire on the Moscow missile cruiser, one person died, another 27 are considered missing. The remaining 396 crew members were evacuated to the ships of the Black Sea Fleet located in the area, quoted the statement of the Interfax department.
The Ministry of Defense reported that he helped the relatives of the deceased and missing. Earlier, the department claimed that after a fire the entire crew was evacuated from the ship. However, later messages began to appear from relatives of the sailors who served on the cruiser, about the dead and missing.
On April 13, Ukraine announced the missile shelling of Moscow and a fire on the cruiser. This happened in the Black Sea, presumably 150 kilometers from Odessa. On the night of April 14, the fact of a fire recognized the Ministry of Defense of Russia. The department claimed that the ammunition detonated the ship.
In the afternoon of April 14, the Pentagon and the Russian side said that the cruiser was afloat. But a few hours later, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that when towing in the port in stormy weather, the cruiser lost its stability and sank. Russia did not report the reasons for the fire.
