Türkiye has closed its airspace to Russian military and civilian aircraft flying to Syria. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, reports The Daily Sabah.
According to him, Turkey issued permits to Russia every three months and the latter expired by April. Since then, flights, according to the minister, have ceased.
The reason for Turkey's decision not to renew the permit is not explained in The Daily Sabah's report.
