The creators of the Immortal Regiment asked not to connect them with future processions due to a change in the initial meaning of the action.

“Unfortunately, we see a lot of changing the initial meaning of the immortal regiment of phenomena and events. Of course, each person is free to decide on his own who and how exactly he recalls May 9. But we do not consider it more possible to associate himself with what is happening in the columns on the street,” the message said.

It is noted that they will continue to conduct the national chronicle of the "Immortal Regiment" and archive family stories of people from different countries.

In 2015, the organization of the same name began to conduct an organization associated with the "All -Russian Popular Front". On April 22, the press secretary of the Immortal Regiment movement Olga Baybulova told Fontanka that the relatives of the Russian military, who died in the war in Ukraine, will be able to come to the action with their portraits. Such an offer was previously voiced by the Governor of the Voronezh region Alexander Gusev.
