According to RIA Novosti, a series of powerful explosions occurred near the television center. The correspondent of the agency claims that the shelling was carried out from the side of the positions of the Ukrainian troops.
A source in the Russian law enforcement agencies said that Ukrainian troops fired three Tochka-U missiles at Kherson, two of them were shot down.
After the shelling, Russian TV channels stopped working for some residents of the city.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian media are also reporting nighttime explosions in Nikolaev, Odessa and Kharkov. According to the Odessa authorities, a Russian reconnaissance drone was shot down over the sea by means of air defense.
