Roskomnadzor blocked in Russia the website of the online encyclopedia of visual art Wikiar (www.wikiar.org). The resource was introduced to the register of prohibited sites according to the two requirements of the Prosecutor General - from April 25 and 26. It is clarified that the site contained "calls for riots and participation in illegal promotions."

The Wikiar project is "an online house of fine art from around the world." The encyclopedia website contains about 250 thousand works of more than three thousand artists, information about them is in eight languages.

On the site you can see works of art that are in museums, universities, town halls and other public buildings in more than a hundred countries. The purpose of the project is to make world art accessible to everyone.
