UN: From the beginning of the war in Ukraine, at least 3193 civilians have died

Since the beginning of the war, at least 3153 civilians have died in Ukraine, among them 227 children. This was reported by the Office of the Supreme Commissioner of the UN Human Rights.

Another 3353 civilians were injured, including 321 children. Half of civilians were killed in the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, most of them are in the territory controlled by Ukraine. In the self -proclaimed "LDNR", 101 peaceful resident died, 389 were injured.

The UN explains that the cause of most deaths and wounds was the use of explosive devices with an extensive area of defeat, including shelling from heavy artillery and rocket lapsing systems, as well as missiles and aircraft shows.

The management also notes that the real numbers are much higher, since many reports of wounds and death still require additional confirmation and receipt of information from the places where hostilities continues, is delayed.

Russian authorities practically do not give statistics on the dead. The last time the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation recognized the death of one military after the sinking of the cruiser "Moscow" and recognized 27 more sailors missing. It was April 22, eight days after the crash of the ship.
