Russia is trying to attract third countries to minimize the consequences of Western economic sanctions. In particular, Moscow plans to organize the production of components of military products in need of the use of foreign components in the CSTO countries to go around the embargo, as well as the purchase of dual -use products. Such data is located the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, which it reported the other day.

On the terms of anonymity, the diplomatic source in one of the CSTO countries confirmed the republic money, that 2-3 requests on this topic have already received from Moscow "through the Ministry of Defense and a number of other departments." Russia, according to our interlocutor, activated its efforts after the EU announced the fifth package of sanctions against Russia on April 8. In it, Brussels expanded the embargo for the supply of equipment to Russia, which can contribute to the "improvement of the country's military and technological potential". Equipment and components for quantum computers, quantum electronics, and several types of electron microscopes were blacklisted.

In general, the embargo is designed to influence those sectors “where Russia is vulnerable - for example, quantum computers and advanced semiconductors,” said in the European Commission. “Thus, Brussels closed the last legal loophole for military supplies,” the diplomat comments. At the same time, according to him, the loopholes remained unspoken, unofficial: “In this case, it is about deliveries within the framework of old contracts, which, if desired, can be stretched out in time, expanding the supply nomenclature, or extend”.

However, Russia was not lucky in this meadow. In the European media, after the start of hostilities in Ukraine, three publications were published on the illegal supplies of Russia for arms and military equipment from Europe, contrary to the basic embargo, introduced back in 2014 in response to the annexation of Crimea.
