In Israel, at the 76th year of life, the poet Alexei Tsvetkov died. This was announced by the poet Bakhyt Kenzheev.
“Sorrowful news. Just in the Israeli hospital, Alexei Petrovich Tsvetkov, my beloved friend and great poet, died. May the earth be in fluff. Eternal memory, ”Kenzheev wrote.

From May 2, flowers lay in the hospital due to problems with the lungs. The exact diagnosis was never established, but the poet himself suspected that he had coronavirus or pneumonia. On May 7, Tsvetkov announced the transfer to intensive care.
“Resuscitation, but a nice doctor. He believes that since I can do how many people from all over Israel, I did something good in their life, ”the poet wrote in his last post on Facebook.
Alexey Tsvetkov was born in 1947 in Stanislav (now Ivano-Frankivsk). In the 1970s, together with Bakhyt Kenzhev, Alexander Horse and Sergey Gandlevsky, he participated in the poetic group “Moscow Time”.
In 1975 he was arrested and sent from Moscow to Zaporozhye, in the same year he emigrated to the United States. He worked there as an editor in the newspaper, and then a teacher at the Dikinsonovsky College. Since the late 80s, he conducted the program “Seventh Continent” and “Atlantic Diary” on the Radio “Freedom”.
Tsvetkov is also known for his poetry and the translation of Hamlet Shakespeare.
