The Tagilstroevsky District Court of Nizhny Tagil in April fined Fanis Galeev , the imam of the Mahalya mosque , under an article on the distribution of extremist literature (20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was reported by the Information and Analytical Center "Sova".
The prosecutor's office found 23 "extremist" books in Galeev's apartment.
Sova adds that the imam is a member of the city Council for Combating Extremism.
“There is a fine line. Today these are not extremist books, but tomorrow they will be extremist. This can be determined by a spiritual person, not a secular one. These books that have been discovered cannot simply be thrown away. They need to either be buried or burned, ”the project quotes Galeev.
