Ukraine won the Eurovision Song Contest

The Ukrainian rap group Kalush Orchestra defeated the 66th Eurovision Contest.

After the performance at the competition, the Kalush Orchestra vocalist addressed the audience: “Please help Ukrainian Mariupol! Help "Azov Stri" right now! "

In total, according to the results of the jury and viewers, Kalush Orchestra received 631 points. After the jury voting, the Ukrainians walked only in fourth place, but in the audience voting they received 439 points out of 468 possible.

The second place at Eurovision was taken by the UK, the third - Spain.

• Ukraine was an absolute favorite of the current competition. Before the final, bookmakers assessed the probability of Kalush Orchestra’s victory at 70-75%.
• Russia did not participate in Eurovision, as the organizers suspended it because of the war in Ukraine. Residents of the Russian Federation could not vote for the participants of the competition.
