Living in Russia today is practically cut off from external banking systems, despite the fact that the need for cross-border transfer of money is great than ever: someone has left or leaves, someone works for a foreign company, someone sells assets in Russia and buys abroad. Therefore, more and more fellow citizens are conceived about the use of cryptocurrencies: people who want to freely manage their money, save their accumulations from devaluation and inflation, or even try to earn money, come to the cryptocurrency market.
Meanwhile, the cryptorrhene has recently been experiencing a large fall. Last week, Bitcoin sank below $ 30,000 - at a maximum in November 2021 it cost more than $ 68,000. Is it possible to rely on cryptocurrencies today to those who need to withdraw money from Russia? And is it time to admit that the idea of the creators of the Crypto Ripkin about the independent financial system suffered a fiasco? We talked about this with the managing director of investment, deputy General Director of TKB Investment Partners, Vladimir Tsupov.
- In a situation where the possibilities of the traditional banking system for Russians are compressed to the degree of indistinguishability, cryptocurrencies become almost the only working financial technology for Russians. How can those who today want to solve the problems of cross -border translations today?
- Work with cryptocurrency, in fact, is very similar to working with cash currency. And here, as in the case of cash, there is a very important point. This is a transition from legal status to a gray or illegal scheme. If you bring a suitcase from $ 10 million to any bank, in Europe or in Russia, then it is unlikely that anyone will serve you. Moreover, there are chances to be “highlighted” in the tax or by the police. The same is the same with a crypt.
Plus, we must not forget that in Russia, cryptocurrency, in fact, is not legalized in any way. And there are practically no legal ways of buying cryptocurrency within the Russian Federation, after blocking the Russian banking system and the introduction of currency restrictions by the Russian Federation itself. Before that, there was only one legal way: you are making a bank transfer from the Russian Federation to a foreign crypto -country and buy cryptocurrency there. Now it is impossible to make such a translation, as a result, it is extremely difficult to buy a crypt in Russia legally, and you definitely can’t do this to an ordinary citizen. Therefore, unfortunately, the use of cryptocurrency cannot be recognized as a mild solution for mass use in order to simplify your life. Alas, this is as difficult as any other methods.
“ But the crypt, in principle, is legal?” Now there are all kinds of crypto exchangers where you can bring cash or transfer money from your card, and then you will either transfer cryptocurrency to a crypto-wallet, or the necessary currency to a foreign account or will be given cash abroad. Is this mechanism legal or a person violating the law?
- The buyer does not violate the law. But the seller can easily fly into sanctions.
- That is, the seller risks, not the buyer?
