Media artist Bogdan Ziza was detained in Yevpatoria due to an anti-war rally

In Yevpatoria, media artist Bogdan Ziza was detained because of an action in support of the people of Ukraine. A friend of his told OVD-Info about this.

On the afternoon of May 16, Ziza allegedly poured yellow and blue paint on him and tried to set fire to the facade of the Yevpatoriya city administration building. The security forces posted a video with his “admission of guilt” online. A friend of the detainee says that Ziza could have given a confession under pressure from the security forces.

It is unknown where the detainee is now. The mayor of Yevpatoria, Alexander Loskutov, spoke about the detention of a “reasonably suspected” person on VKontakte. According to him, “urgent investigative actions are being carried out, motives and other circumstances are being established.”
