"Bukhanka of bread and a bank of stew." Why Russian soldiers are gathering humanitarian aid

Residents of Russian regions collect products and things of the first (and not only) need to send the Russian military to Ukraine. Often, these fees are forced in nature. And the relatives of the Russian soldiers and the military themselves in a conversation with Siberia. Realities confirmed: the problems with providing the army are serious, due to the shortage of the most necessary, soldiers often get sick, starve and rob civilians.

"They shaved the hollow so that lice would not torment"

In May, dozens of employees of the Russian Guard who participated in the war in Ukraine returned to Buryatia and Transbaikalia.

- The son arrived almost twice that was losing weight! It was 100 kilograms, now 60 with a small one. Leather and bones compared to what was. He almost doesn’t say anything, says a military secret, ”a resident of Ulan-Ude Catherine shares. - Where was it, what he did is silent, but in everyday life I spoke a little - my hair was on end: a loaf of bread and a can of stew per day for a platoon of ten healthy guys about a week about a week. Then there were more - two rolls and two cans of stew. I don’t know what happened there, something with the convoy (or who is the products and everything else is lucky) happened, but ours either behind, or were blocked from them. In general, they were hungry for about a month, he says. I look at him and understand that there was not a hunger strike there, losing 40 kilos - this is necessary to sit on a hungry ration for two months.

Other residents of Buryatia, who met the Rosgvardists who returned from the war, say that the deficit was not only with products.

- We allegedly left for exercises in Belarus. Mom said: “I released him with such a light heart. To the exercises, but here,” says Julia, sister of an employee of the Russian Guard who returned from Ukraine. - At first, they thought that he was on the border with Ukraine, on the Russian side, but no, he was in Ukraine. And they left truly unprepared, because they all sent them after them-some weapons, communications, drones and kopterers did not have with them either. He says that the connection had to be established on the go, from everything that they would find, what Ukrainians left behind. At first, they even had to ride in ordinary "tablets", although they should move in armored vehicles. As I understood, he was somewhere in reconnaissance, near Kiev, ahead, so they were well provided with food, did not complain about hunger, but he had a strong weighty one. Many guys are still in treatment, in a hospital, including because of psychological problems.

A resident of the Ural city, Catherine , said that her husband from the "exercises" has not yet returned, although he was promised "Rotten" back in March.

- I understand that this was promised before the “special operation”, but he left there since January, in one shift in clothes! And for the fifth month at the end, ”says Catherine. - I am still trying to go to write a complaint, he is from riot police, and officially we have no war, so why they are not returned? No business trip can last so much. But my husband begging me every time, they say, do not shame me in front of the guys. And the fact that they slept half a month on the ground, there was nothing to change into - is it not a shame? In the first week they were somehow beaten so that all the technique burned down and all supplies, they spent the night on the ground, saved food, after a week they shaved all over, because lice tortured, but there was nothing to wash. There is literally nothing left. He went almost in summer uniforms, and at the end of February the frosts hit there, he transferred pneumonia on his feet.

Those military who have returned from Ukraine who agree to talk anonymously are not shy in expressions.

-We were the cooler in touch-because of these faded radios, we almost knocked us several times. X ** with her, with food, there was no fuel! How is it at all?! Okay in the army in peacetime, we are used to it, but on the combat one - this is full, ”says the military who returned from Donetsk.

The other assures that Russian soldiers "were simply forced to expry things from civilians."

"Found someone to ask for money"

The acute deficiency of products and medicines for the Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine in the regions in Russia decided to make up for "charitable fees". Often they are forced in nature.

So, parents of students from the Kemerovo specialized school for children with disabilities are forced to buy products to Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine. This information Siberia. Parents handed over the editorial office of the correspondence with a school leader who quarreled that "for money collected for the needs of the class from parents, they bought products for the parcel for a soldier." The school management also dropped a photo of purchased products.

- This is practiced in many educational institutions of the city, even in the kindergarten of my child. If the money for the needs of the class has already been collected, they take it right from there. Without even coordinating this with parents. If not, then they collect. Those who do not want to take, begin to complicate their lives, - says one of the parents.

For example, a child can be forcibly sent to sick leave.

- "Do not give to the parcel" a doctor at a kindergarten/school writes a certificate: "SARS". And in the hospital at the place of residence, sick leave is not given in such a situation. Therefore, in most cases, it is easier for parents to give 300-500 rubles for a parcel to a soldier or on a “cap by May 9”, in which the class sings a song, ” Alina M. from Kemerova explains. -In our case, it kills that children are disabled. - We will organize the point of collecting things, from there we take the collected to the military units, which we know that they are transferred to the "special operation". From the military units the collected is regularly sent to the soldiers to Ukraine, ”explains the volunteer from Transbaikalia Elena S. - For reporting, we post a photo of sending things and checks. Of the military units, we are given gratitude and feedback - new requests from soldiers. For example, at one time very often and asked for a lot of food, now there are more requests for medicines.

Volunteers also continue to collect socks, panties, gloves, toilet paper, wet wipes, shoe insoles, rapidly soluble foods, cigarettes, lighters and matches.

Judging by the number of humanitarian gathering points in each region, a full -fledged crowdfunding campaign for the needs of the Russian military in Ukraine has unfolded in the country. At first, the process was launched by the relatives and acquaintances of the military, it was picked up by veteran organizations, now officials have taken assistance in most regions.

Volunteers participating in the collection of assistance for Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine are evading any conversations on political topics and say that they help and will help because they "pity our guys."

- The war is expensive. But during the pandemic, we learned to coordinate such fees. And since help is needed, and I can provide it, then I will be happy to help. I have no one from my friends there [among Russian soldiers in Ukraine], but there are colleagues whose sons are there. They confirm that “the problems are serious and there is an acute shortage,” says Anna Vorobyova, a volunteer from Transbaikalia.
