What happens to vaccination from Covid-19 after the outbreak of war in Ukraine?

Until February 19, the Health Committee provided data on the number of people vaccinated per day, but now only publishes the total number of vaccinated. "Paper" independently calculated the number of vaccinated per day from February 20 to May 22.

The last time more than a thousand people made the first vaccination in St. Petersburg on April 6 (1072 people), the second - April 3 (4189 people).

With the beginning of hostilities in Ukraine in St. Petersburg, the level of vaccination from the Covid-19 is reduced. The head of the Health Committee Dmitry Lisovets said that the level of collective immunity has significantly decreased in St. Petersburg. By mid -May, this figure was about 60 %. While from December 24 to February 24, 172,604 people made the first vaccination, the second - 377 808, that is, about 550 thousand people, which is four times higher than the post -war indicator.
• In recent months, less than 1 thousand people per day have been the first and second vaccination, when in January these indicators could be 5 thousand and 14 thousand, respectively.
• The minimum number of Petersburgers who came to vaccinations this spring was recorded on May 3 (35 people were vaccinated) and on May 11 (28 people made a second vaccine).

The Health Committee in mid -May said that they have no original methods to stimulate vaccination. “This is information work, mobile points continue to work for the convenience of citizens in shopping centers, although their number is reduced. Even from stimulating measures - work in labor collectives, in particular, traveling to enterprises, ”the department said.

Smolny emphasized that the largest number of vaccinating waves were on the peaks of pandemic waves, after the introduction of QR codes and compulsory vaccination for a number of categories of citizens.
