Fontanka told the story of a Russian contractor who visited Ukrainian captivity. Now he is going to fight again

24-year-old Private Dmitry Paramoshkin from St. Petersburg signed a contract with the Russian army in 2020, by the end of military service. “It somehow happened. On February 25, 2022, Dmitry and his colleagues were told that they were going to exercises to the Crimea. There they set a new task and sent to Kherson, and then to Nikolaev.

On the way to Nikolaev, the column of the Russian military fell under the artillery shelling and divided into several parts. About 30 people remain in the group of Dmitry. He said that after that they continued to be shelling - and the Ukrainian troops, according to him, allegedly used cassette ammunition.

For the night, a group of the military, in which Paramoshkin was located, stopped in a forest belt. When he woke up, he found that he was left alone. “They left me, it turns out, forgot,” said Dmitry. Three days later, he left the forest in search of food, and the Ukrainian military immediately detained him. The soldier was taken to the New Odessa, and then to Vinnitsa, where they placed in the investigative insulator.

Paramoshkin claims that he was regularly beaten in captivity: “Of course, they beat on the legs, kidneys, and stomach. They tried not to beat in the face. ” To get food, the soldier told, they demanded to sing the Ukrainian anthem, which he did not know. Later, prisoners from the DPR were put in the camera to Dmitry, who knew the words of the anthem.

According to Paramoshkin, the prisoners were beaten after they showed the frames of the shelling of Ukrainian cities and other news on TV.

Paramoshkin became one of the Russian prisoners with whom the video was recorded by Vladimir Zolkin, a Ukrainian blogger, who released more than 100 interviews with Russian prisoners during the war. Dmitry claims that the video was staged, and the answers to the questions were given to him in advance. According to the soldier, only two fragments were not setting - when he talked about the circumstances of the captivity and during a telephone conversation with his mother, who was organized during the recording.

Paramoshkin spent about a month and a half. On April 19, he, along with other prisoners, was transported in a pre -trial detention center closer to the border with the Zaporizhzhya region, and soon an exchange took place.

In the morning we were put on a bus, put bags on their heads, drove to the bridge for some, it was blown up. On one side there were two Ukrainian buses and here are 46 people. On the other hand, the three “KamAZ” of our Russians, the “lynx” were Ukrainian prisoners of war. There, the bridge was blown up, a river, and the stones threw. We went under the bridge, stood up, and then the Ukrainians went. It turns out, on both sides. They got on the bus, we are in Kamazy. And from there they were already taken. In an interview with Fontanka, Paramoshkin said that he was going to return to war. “I am a military man, simple. My boys remained there. Find out how they are there. Plus, we have advance. Everything is fine, the tactics have changed. This all happened due to my unpreparedness. We were not told that we were going to Ukraine, we were not prepared for this, ”he said.

Dmitry Paramoshkin’s mother called her son a patriot who defends his homeland, and refused to admit that Russia attacked Ukraine.
