In St. Petersburg, the police opened a criminal case due to an attack on Sota journalist and assistant to deputies of the Yabloko faction in the Legislative Assembly, Petr Ivanov, writes Kommersant SPb, citing a source in law enforcement agencies. The information was confirmed to Paper by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to Kommersant’s interlocutor, we are talking about an article on intentional infliction of minor harm to health in connection with the performance of a public duty by the victim (clauses “a” and “d” of Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code).

Pyotr Ivanov was attacked on the evening of May 30, when he was returning from a court hearing to extend the preventive measure for the arrested artist Sasha Skochilenko. Before running away, the attackers took a photograph of the journalist and asked: “Are you going to do more crap?” One of them had a bottle of Pepsi with brilliant green.

According to Ivanov, they punched and kicked him in the head, and “in the last seconds of the attack they tried to hit him on the nose.” The correspondent was diagnosed with a broken nasal bone and multiple facial bruises.

The journalist’s neighbors claimed that for two days before the attack, three men in camouflage clothing and balaclavas watched Ivanov’s entrance in the evenings.
