An administrative case was opened against the chairman of the environmental “Committee for the Rescue of Pechora”, Ivan Ivanov, for disseminating “fakes” due to the organization’s post on VKontakte condemning the invasion of Ukraine and the picture “No to war”. this Ivanov reported on his social networks.
“War means blood, corpses of soldiers and civilians, tears of mothers, and a damaged natural environment for many years. Protection of social, environmental and other human and civil rights is impossible in conditions of war. We condemn this act of aggression and demand that the President of Russia immediately stop the “military special operation,” said the publication dated February 26, signed by all members of the Pechora Rescue Committee.
The chairman of the organization was summoned to the Sosnogorsk police in the Komi Republic on May 30, where a report was drawn up against him under Part 9 of Article 13.15 of the Administrative Code.
The post of the committee “creates political and aggressive moods among the masses of people, shapes social tension, preconditions for a massive violation of public order" and "contributes to the incitement of enmity and hatred against the country's leadership," the document says.
The materials of the administrative case against Ivanov will be considered by the magistrate of the Industrial Court District of Sosnogorsk.
