In terms of the level of destruction, he said, Severodonetsk "is approaching Rubizhne and Popasnaya."

Critical infrastructure is almost completely damaged, the housing stock is 90% damaged, and more than half of the damaged buildings, according to Gaidai, cannot be restored. Delivery of humanitarian aid and evacuation of people from Severodonetsk, he added, is impossible.

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, in turn, wrote on his telegram channel on the evening of May 31 that “the total cleansing of Severodonetsk has been completed.” According to Kadyrov, the military from Chechnya, along with the so-called LNR people's militia "and other Russian security units" have moved on to the next stage - "a more thorough random check of individual urban facilities."
