The author of the telegram channel “Protest MSU”, Dmitry Ivanov, was charged in the case of “fake news” about the Russian army. This was reported by a lawyer from OVD-Info, who is defending the activist.
Ivanov is accused of publicly disseminating deliberately false information about the use of the Russian armed forces based on political, ideological, racial, national or religious hatred or enmity, or on grounds of hatred or enmity against any social group (clause “e”, part 2 of Art. 207.3 CC).
